HI,

I use Audacity 1.3 Beta and have done for the last few months. When i first installed it and plugged my mixer into the line-in on my laptop i remember the sound was recording very badly, sounding very muffled. I changed something in the settings which made the sound excellent and clear. Then I got a virus on my laptop and had to restore the system. After doing that I downloaded Audacity 1.3 Beta again with the intention of recording a few DJ mixes and have the same problem with the bad sound quality, only this time I cant figure out how to make it better. I have tried to change the settings in the Devices area of Preferences but am having no joy, and am beginning to get very frustrated!!As you may have guessed I'm a bit of an amateur with things like this so any ideas you may have that could help me would be very much appreciated,

Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
